GHS Parents,
We need your help to alleviate some traffic in our parking areas at the end of the day. The proper procedure for you to pick up your GHS student is outlined in the map shown.
Please enter the pick up areas from Tiger Lane and exit onto Hwy 289. ONCE OUR BUSES HAVE LEFT, you are free to use both front parking areas for pick up and exit onto Kerfoot.
We are trying to keep the north parking lot from being so congested to avoid any students getting hit by a vehicle. That is where they park, and they need to be able to safely get to their vehicle.
The lines go quickly once they get moving. If you want to avoid most of the traffic, arrive about 10 minutes after the bell rings.
If you are a middle school parent, you must follow the GMS pick up procedure.

GES Tiger Family,
Before you head out to pick up your children at the elementary school today (August 20th), please grab that "patience cap" and put it on. The city is pouring concrete on Main Street, and it is blocked off. You will need to use an alternate route via the side streets that run parallel to Main to get into the car line. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE be very cautious and drive slow as you drive down those streets, as they are not accustomed to having so much traffic.
Thank you for being patient and kind as you work together as parents while driving in the car line today. Our number one goal is to get everyone home safe.

Due to a few minor issues at our Administration building, the school board meeting for tonight, August 19th, has been moved to the Gunter Middle School campus. The meeting will be in the cafeteria.

Good News! All of our students are now showing up in the MySchool Bucks system. Parents, you may now use the app to deposit money into your child's account and view their purchases.

One last reminder to pay attention on the roads in the morning.
Let's all be EXTRA AWARE while driving. Stop if the school bus arm is out whether you are behind the bus or in front of the bus.

All students who were registered to ride the bus the first week of school have been contacted. Please check your voicemail if you were unable to answer your phone and you did sign up for transportation. Questions? Contact Nicole Mann at nmann@gunterisd.org
