Dear Tiger Family,

Due to continued concerns regarding road conditions and the safety of our students and staff, Gunter ISD will remain closed on Tuesday, January 27th.

The safety of our community is our highest priority, and we want to ensure everyone stays off the roads and remains warm. All extracurricular activities and practices scheduled for Tuesday are also canceled.

We will continue to monitor conditions and will provide an update regarding Wednesday’s schedule once a decision is made.

Due to the winter weather impacting our area, all Gunter ISD campuses and facilities will be closed Monday, Jan. 26. ❄️

Monday Events: All activities, practices, and events are canceled/rescheduled.
Tuesday Status: We are monitoring the situation and will update you as soon as possible.
Instructional Minutes: Plans for make-up time will be shared at a later date.

January is School Board Recognition Month. We are grateful for the leadership, dedication, and vision of the Gunter ISD Board of Trustees. Their commitment helps create opportunities and support success for every student, every day.

Gunter Middle School Presents: The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane
Our Gunter Middle School theatre students have been working incredibly hard preparing for this weekend’s UIL Competition, and they are excited to open their competition show to the community for one night only!

Synopsis:
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane follows the extraordinary journey of Edward, a finely crafted porcelain rabbit who believes the world revolves around him. When he becomes lost, Edward is swept into an unexpected adventure that takes him from the ocean to the countryside, through hardship, love, loss, and self-discovery. Along the way, he meets a series of unforgettable characters who teach him what it truly means to care for others. This heartwarming story—full of imagination, humor, and emotion—reminds audiences of all ages that love has the power to transform us.
We would love for our community to come out, support our students, and cheer them on before their UIL performance this weekend!

Congratulations to all of our HS students that auditioned at the All-Region competition.

We had 2 students earn a spot in the region bands! These 2 competed against 400+ students from 25 different schools to earn a spot amongst the best of the best musicians in our region!

These 2 students also have earned an opportunity to compete at the All-Area competition in January for a chance to become an All-State musician!

Graduation will remain at the stadium. If any delays are needed, we will be in communication via Parent Square, the website, and socials.

Good Afternoon, We are monitoring weather conditions for tomorrow's graduation ceremony. We will push out notifications throughout the day on Parent Square, social media and our website. If we need to move indoors due to inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the Event Center (or you might know it as the Main Gym).

It's summertime! Let your Gunter blue shine in the sunshine. We'll see you back in August :)

Seniors, You will be bussed over to the elementary from the high school tomorrow morning. Do not drive yourself, parking is very limited. Please meet in front of the high school at 8:05 AM with your cap and gown. Note: Steam will remove the wrinkles in the gown. Take it out of the package before tomorrow
