Calendar Update

With the recent ice storm causing multiple days of closures, we will need to make up the missed instructional time by using our built in “Health/Safety/Weather” days in the 2022-23 district calendar. TEA requires students to be in attendance for a specified number of minutes each year, and we always build two days into our calendar to allow for bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances that would cause us to close school. That two day allowance is usually plenty, however, this year mother nature caused a much longer disruption, which means we will be attending school on February 17th and April 7th to make up the instructional time we lost.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we made these difficult decisions during “Icemageddon 2023”. The safety and well-being of our staff and students will always be our top priority when navigating situations similar to last week’s.
