Gunter ISD is excited to welcome Sheri Johnson to Gunter Elementary as a paraprofessional! She has spent the past three years serving as a substitute within the district, where she discovered a true passion for education and a love for working with students. Before entering education, she built her life around family, celebrating 40 years of marriage with her husband, Craig, this June. Together, they have three adult children and a growing family that includes ten grandchildren—five of whom currently attend Gunter ISD.
After moving to Gunter eight years ago from Huntington Beach, California, she quickly fell in love with the close-knit, supportive community. Inspired by the welcoming environment and meaningful connections formed through her grandchildren’s experiences at Gunter Elementary, she knew this was the perfect place to continue her journey in education. She shared that the kindness and lasting impact of Gunter teachers have meant so much to her family over the years.
When asked about her philosophy, she said, “Teamwork makes the dream work.” We are thrilled to have her join Gunter ISD and look forward to the positive energy, dedication, and heart she will bring to our students, staff, and community.
