Gunter ISD is excited to welcome Kara McKinnon (soon to be Mrs. Witt) to the Gunter Elementary School faculty! Ms. McKinnon earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Texas A&M University (Whoop!), and has spent the past three years teaching Kindergarten in Kilgore. This May, she will be getting married and relocating to the area, and is truly so excited for this new chapter.
When we asked her why she chose Gunter, she said, "I have heard wonderful things about Gunter ISD, particularly its strong sense of community and commitment to student success, which inspired me to pursue the opportunity to teach here. Teaching has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to continue growing as an educator in such an amazing school district. Go tigers!!!"
