Students standing in front of a Gunter High School banner holding academic awards for UIL.

The results for the district UIL academic meet are in and we are so proud of GHS! 20 of our students will be moving on to compete at regionals!

Overall GHS placed second, only 2 points under the 1st place winner. They swept the first day of events with 384 points, more than 70 points over the 2nd and 3rd place teams!

Areas of competition include the following: CX (Cross Examination), One-Act play, Academics, and Speech.

Students placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd as well as teams placing 1st will all be advancing to the regional UIL academic meet in Tyler on April 24th and 25th.

Congratulations GHS! We are proud of our students and coaches and the hard work they put forth to prepare for the competitions! We are also excited to see all that you accomplish at regionals!
