Joint Statement

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

City of Gunter and Gunter ISD Joint Statement

The City of Gunter and Gunter ISD are working together to address the potential for traffic delays at the intersection of HWY 121 and Preston Crossings Drive, particularly as traffic patterns adjust to the opening of the new Gunter Elementary Campus.

On Thursday and Friday, law enforcement officers will be present to monitor traffic flow and observe peak congestion periods. Based on these observations, we will determine what steps can be taken to minimize delays and improve the flow of traffic in the area.

We kindly ask for the community’s patience and understanding as we work through this transition. Our shared goal is to ensure safe and efficient travel for all while we adapt to this new traffic pattern. We also encourage everyone to remain courteous and mindful of others on the road as we continue to assess and respond to these changes.

Together, the City of Gunter and Gunter ISD are committed to working hand-in-hand to address this challenge and keep our community moving safely and smoothly.

Sincerely,

Dr. Brandon Enos

Superintendent, Gunter ISD

Mayor, City of Gunter
