Please join us in welcoming Maggie Standridge to Gunter ISD as a new member of the Gunter Middle School staff! Maggie will serve as the new 8th Grade CTE teacher and Assistant Cheer Coach for Gunter High School. We are thrilled to have her joining our Tiger family!

Maggie is graduating this May from the University of Oklahoma, where she attended the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communications. During her time at OU, she cheered all four years on both the All Girl and Coed cheer teams and competed at UCA College Nationals.

A highly accomplished athlete, Maggie is a two-time World and NCA Champion and earned back-to-back top-two finishes at UIL Game Day State. Her passion for cheerleading goes far beyond competition. Maggie loves the opportunity to encourage others, build school spirit, and strengthen community connections through cheer.

Maggie shared, “I’m so excited to begin my first year teaching at Gunter Middle School, as well as coaching the Gunter High School cheer team! I love being rooted in my community, which is why cheerleading has always meant so much to me. While I’m competitive and love to win, my favorite part of cheerleading is having a front-row seat to cheer on others—whether that’s at a state championship or simply bringing spirit to the community.”

Welcome to Gunter ISD, Maggie! We are excited for the energy, leadership, and passion you will bring to our students and programs.
