Coach Beville Welcome

Gunter ISD is excited to announce Lauren Beville as the Gunter Lady Tiger Head Volleyball Coach for the 2024-25 school year. Coach Beville brings 25 years of volleyball experience with her; 15 years playing and 10 years of coaching.

Beville is a 2009 graduate of Hereford High School where her love of sports shined bright! She played basketball, volleyball, and ran track. Her high school volleyball accomplishments and accolades include: Regional tournament (2 years), 4A State Championship (2008), All-State honors (2 years), District Defensive MVP, and First team All-District member (3 years).

Coach Beville earned a Bachelor of Health Science from West Texas A&M University where she was a 4-year starter for the Lady Buff’s Volleyball team. She competed in the National Championship game in 2009, making an Elite Eight appearance her senior year. She also earned the titles of All-American libero, All Conference (4 years), All-Region (2 years), and held the All-Time Digs record for 10 years.

Her coaching career has taken her to two school districts, Hereford ISD and Decatur ISD.

At Hereford ISD she served as an assistant coach/8th grade health teacher. Working alongside the head coach, they built a solid foundation which resulted in the team advancing to the 5A Regional Tournament.

At Decatur ISD she served as the varsity assistant coach. During her time at Decatur, she contributed to leading the team to Back-to-Back State 4A Championships in 2020 and 2021, Regional Semi-Finalist in 2022, and four undefeated District Championships.
