LSC presentation

Join us on Friday September 15th at 7:00 PM as three representatives from various organizations will come together for a very special presentation. Ray Zepeda (UIL AD), Gene Darnell (Texas Farm Bureau Insurance), and Adam Hochfelder (Sports in Action) will be on the field to OFFICIALLY present the UIL LONE STAR CUP to GUNTER ISD! This is certainly an accomplishment to be proud of! Out of 233 Class 3A high schools in the State of Texas, OUR GUNTER TIGERS earned the #1 position!

Gunter ISD is supported by such a great community and that is why we are inviting you to be a part of this 1st time victory. Jostens has created a commemorative ring and pendant for you to proudly wear to show that you are from the #1 town in our great state. It is a definite conversation starter! The UIL Lone Star Cup program began in 1997 and recognizes one school in each of the six divisions based on a point system earned through academics, athletics, fine arts, robotics, and music championships. Both, Gunter ISD and Corpus Christi London earned 79 points throughout the 22-23 academic school year. A tie is broken with the number of State Titles, and with Gunter ISD having two (football and volleyball) we were placed 1st.

We hope to see you Friday night as we accept the Lone Star Cup for the very first time in Gunter history!
