Water drops on penny

5th graders in Mrs. Bon's science classroom delved into the Scientific method today. They had to answer the question, "How many drops of water will a penny hold?"

Many hypothesized a very small number of droplets, but the experiment proved that a penny will hold a lot more than they thought! Each student performed 10 trials and came up with a variety of results ranging from 10 drops to 50.  Many factors come into play during an experiment, and they will take the data they have collected and discuss why the  numbers vary. Great job, scientists!
