I was raised in Gunter Texas, and participated in football, baseball, track, and power-lifting. I attended the University of Stephen F. Austin and transferred to the University of North Texas to attain my bachelors degree in education. I graduated with a major in Kinesiology and a minor in Spanish. I have always had a deep passion for teaching and coaching as it is a very rewarding profession. This will be my 10th year of coaching and teaching here at Gunter ISD and I am eager to continue growing as a teacher-coach in the best school district in the state. My philosophy comes from the mentality to "Always Compete," meaning to always better yourself and those around you in everything you do. I am blessed to be a father of a wonderful healthy boy named Elias and have a wonderful wife who works in the medical field. Growing up I had mentors that directed and fed my passion to purse this profession. My goal for this year is to help my students learn to persevere through adversity and take those lessons with them and win at everything in life.
