Gunter Elementary P.E.

 The Students at Gunter Elementary are required to wear gym shoes for P.E. This is for their own safety.  They are less likely to turn an ankle or break a toe in proper gym shoes.  They may wear boots or other shoes to school, and then change for P.E. 

Grading scale in P.E.

Students will have 2 points subtracted from their grade for not having gym shoes. They will also receive a participation grade worth 2 points.  A Doctor’s note will excuse them from participating only.  The students also have a conduct grade. Which will be reflected by their P.E. grade, and it consists of 1 point each time discipline is needed.  I will warn them first, then a time-out followed by loss of point if behavior continues.  Every student begins the nine week grading period with a 100.

• To start and end class on time

• To reply to e-mails within 24 hours on weekdays and 48 hours on weekends.

 I can expect you:

• To come to class on time.

• To be attentive and engaged in class.

•  To refrain from using negative behavior that would distract others from learning.

• To engage with both the abstract and computational sides of the material.

•  To seek help when appropriate
