I was born and raised in Gunter, and I have raised two Gunter Tigers of my own. Karissa graduated as part of the GHS class of 2019, and Landon graduated in 2022.  Life has slowed down a bit now that high school activities are a thing of the past. When I'm not at school, I can usually be found hanging out with my babies - both two legged and four legged.

I am a graduate of Gunter High School and Oklahoma Baptist University. I received my degree in Early Childhood Education. I am certified to teach PreK-6th grade, and I am also ESL and SPED certified.

I previously taught kindergarten and pre-k for 15 years.  I rejoined the Gunter Elementary staff in 2017 as an instructional aide in the special education department. I then taught Pre-K for two years, but I am moving to Kindergarten this year. It's a true full circle moment. I have loved being back in the school setting.  Gunter Elementary has the best faculty/staff and students around!
