Gunter ISD is committed to addressing the needs of students who are identified as English language Learners. We provide an equal educational opportunity for all identified students through our English Language Learners program. Our program emphasizes the mastery of English Language skills enabling students to participate effectively in regular classroom instruction and support mastery of the state’s curriculum, the Texas Essential Knowledge of Skills (TEKS). Our goal is to assist students to reach their full potential through equitable experiences which ensure that they become confident, productive and competent members of our multicultural society.
