We are excited to welcome Sarah Claunch to Gunter ISD. She will be serving as our new Gunter Middle School Principal.
In her own words, "My name is Sarah Claunch and I am honored and excited to be named the Gunter Middle School Principal! I am thrilled to work alongside the staff and parents of Gunter to serve the students and community. I am just finishing up my 16th year in education. I started my career teaching middle school choir and later taught in the general education classroom. I have spent the last 6 years serving as an assistant principal in Frisco ISD. I graduated with a bachelor's in music education from Southern Methodist University (pony up!) and received my Master of Education in Administration from Lamar University. I married a fellow educator, Philip, and we have two kids, Warren (8) and Eleanor (3). We live in Celina and when we are not working, we love to spend time camping in our travel trailer. Our whole family loves sports, so most of the fall and spring you can find us at games or watching them on our back patio. It is a dream come true to serve this community and I am eager to get started. TPW and go tigers!"
