Choir News - April 2013
Dear Parents,
Hear the exciting sounds from the Select Choir. These students are doing an awesome job and have been all year.
We are going to have to do 3 fund raisers to help us go to state due to our budget being cut. We have 40 plus kids going to state so we will need everyone to participate.
1st - We will host "The Hard Luck Choir Café!" on April 18th. The kids will be serving a 3 course meal and entertaining you with songs like Spice Girls, Elvis, Pasty Cline, Frankie Valli and the Four Season, Patty Loveless, Johnny Cash and more. Here’s how it is going to work. I need each parent to send $20.00 so I can purchase the dinner supplies. This is easier than each parent being assigned items. It will all be the same. The kids and I will do the rest. The Cost of the dinner and show will be $10.00 per person. Help spread the word. I have attached a flyer of the information about the show.
2nd - We will we have a dessert bar and root beer float at the Spring Show on Tuesday, May 14th. Please send the following supplies for this event: 8th graders, freshman, and juniors bring one gallon of vanilla ice cream and 2 (2 liter bottles) of root beer. Sophomores and seniors bring homemade desserts.
3rd the kids want to do a car wash. The date hasn’t been set yet.
I know this seems like a lot but it will all be worth it. The kids are very excited and are working to reach the goal.

May 7th Dr. Joey Martin from Texas State will work with State Ensemble TBA
May 13th Academic Banquet 6:00 PM
May 14th Spring Show 7 PM
May 21st State Solo & Ensemble Concert 7 PM
May 24-27 State Solo & Ensemble TBA (Waiting on Schedule)
May 31 Graduation 7:00 PM
