A bit more about me
I was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma, and attended Grades K-12 at Kingston Public Schools. I was valedictorian of my senior class and decided to further my education at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, where I was offered an academic scholarship and a piano scholarship.
My high school business teacher greatly inspired me to become a teacher. I taught five years in Oklahoma, and this is my fourth year to teach in Gunter.
In 1986, Coach Keatts and I were married. We have two daughters and one son. Alison is 21 years old, and Amber is 19. Both are graduates of Gunter and are attending college. Our son, Trey, is in fifth grade here at GMS.
It is my goal to help students prepare now for life after high school. I want to provide them with skills necessary for not only college, but everyday life!
