At Gunter ISD, we strive to offer the latest items to our students and teachers at Gunter. Sometimes the cost doesn’t allow us to purchase items that we would like to have, sometimes it limits the number of items we can purchase. With the stimulus and tax ratification revenue the schools received during the 09-10 school year, and FEMA donations, Gunter was able to purchase several items that we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to obtain. Take a look at some of the items we have provided for our teachers to make their learning environment top notch.
Mounted projectors, speakers, and screens in every classroom
Cable or satellite to bring current events into the classroom
At least 2 computer labs on each campus
Computers loaded with software that is necessary for teaching our various courses
9 Smartboards across the district
4 Mimio Interactive devices across the district
2 DVD/CD 1:1 Duplicators
30 Smart Airliner Slates
Redesigned video conference room
Items purchased with tax ratification revenue in 09-10:
4 Garmin GPS units to bring learning outside the classroom
10 Computer microphones
15 I-pod Touch (middle and high school campuses)
4 Flip video cameras
C.O.W. (Computers on Wheels) - High School mobile computer lab
7 I-Pod Touch (elementary campus)
20 PowerPoint presenters
FEMA - Donation through "Computers for Learning" 80 Dell laptops
Of course, it would be impossible to list everything available to our staff, but the above list consists of our most recent purchases. We are proud of our network, and how we control the technology environment for our staff and students.
